The short version: we collect one thing — the inspection report you upload. We use it for one purpose — generating your repair report. Everything is deleted automatically within 30 days, and you can delete your upload instantly yourself. No account, no tracking, no selling data. Ever.
What we collect
RepairCap works without an account, so we never ask for your name, email address, or phone number. The only information you give us is the inspection report PDF you upload — which may itself contain details about a property and its condition. That's the entirety of it.
What we do with your report
Your report is used for exactly one thing: producing your repair analysis and Ask Letter. To do that, the PDF is processed by Anthropic's Claude, our AI provider, under commercial terms that prohibit using your data to train their models. The temporary copy sent for analysis is deleted from Anthropic's systems immediately after your analysis completes — we verified this behavior ourselves before launch.
We never read your report, sell it, share it with data brokers, use it for advertising, or repurpose it in any way. There is no "anonymized analytics" carve-out here. One purpose, then deletion.
Where it lives, and for how long
Your uploaded PDF and the generated repair report are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage (Vercel). They are not publicly listed anywhere, and your report page uses a long random link that isn't guessable and is marked so search engines don't index it. Treat that link like the private document it is — anyone you share it with can view the report.
Both the upload and the generated report are deleted automatically within 30 days — this happens by scheduled job, not by promise. Before you run an analysis, the Remove button next to your upload deletes the file from our storage immediately.
Cookies and tracking
The site currently sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard, short-lived infrastructure logs — including IP addresses — which we use only to keep the service running and to prevent abuse of the upload system.
Payments
When checkout launches, card payments will be handled by a dedicated payment processor. Your card number will go directly to them; we will never see or store it. We'll update this page with the processor's name before we charge anyone a cent.
Your choices
- Delete your upload instantly with the Remove button, any time before analysis.
- Want your report and upload deleted before the automatic 30-day window? Email us the report link and we'll remove them promptly.
- Don't share your report link with anyone you wouldn't show the report to.
